I got a chance to go on a photography meet-up at Mare Island in August. I just now really got to look at photos and crop/edit the keepers. I really enjoyed going somewhere new to get photos. Many of the photographers wandered the area and looked/photographed history. It is sad to see the property fading away to trespassers damaging the buildings.
While on this outing my friend introduced me to Filipino food there is a shopping center with Filipino markets and restaurants nearby. I loved it and really liked a dessert called Halo-Halo. I hope to go back and enjoy the cuisine again.
