Reno Anniversary Trip

 

 

This year we celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary.  We decided to take a little trip to Reno.  Dave was looking forward to visiting sporting good stores and bird watching.  I looked forward to playing the slots and relaxing. 

On the way to Reno the snow fell and the summit was a beautiful white (fresh snow no brown mushed stuff).  The temperatures dipped into the 20's. 

We won some cash which was nice and actually managed to keep most of it.  A little trip out to the Golden Eagle Regional Park in Sparks. 

Scheels sporting goods store was huge with a ferris wheel included.  We also took a quick trip by Cabela's of course on the way home.

We stayed at the Peppermill Resort very nice hotel.  We would have preferred the $3000 a night suite but we took the Northtower which rooms are much more reasonable.  There is a pool and people were actually in it, I bet they froze their booties off.  Very nice italian restaurant which was where we ate our special anniversary dinner.  The night we arrived we did the Island Buffet, which was faired pretty good.

We saw Robert Cray at the Grand Sierra Resort, which was very beautiful. Robert Cray plays the blues and is very entertaining.   Sorry picture not too good with iPhone.
